It's relationships, really

While working on ActiveInbox (my task manager for Gmail that reached 170,000 people), I adopted HubSpot CRM to help sales.

Immediately, I realised, it didn't help me remember what I emailed last week. I was slipping with prospects.

Not a worry!, I thought. That's what ActiveInbox is for. But I quickly got burned... because sales emails tend to be rather more plentiful, you really can't manually track it all.

Still not a worry! HubSpot has a Gmail plugin. Let's try that... Well, it's perfectly good at sucking data into HubSpot, but it wasn't guiding me to emails that need my attention.
